Dan Nelson

Dan Nelson (born June 21, 1976^[1]) is a singer/songwriter and the singer/guitarist for the band Tomorrows Ghost.

He also is the lead vocalist/guitarist for the band BlackGates, as well as being the former lead vocalist of American thrash metal band Anthrax from 2007-2009.

Dan Nelson has also worked with the Long Island bands Inside Hollow, Discipline and Devilsize. Nelson's vocal style in BlackGates and other rock/metal projects is reminiscent of Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), John Bush (Armored Saint and formerly of Anthrax) and Phil Anselmo (formerly of Pantera and current frontman of Down.^{[citation needed]} ).

However when singing his solo material, there is a more soulful, bluesy approach to both Dans singing, and guitar playing.

Dan Nelson also plays the bass and drums. He has done so in the past while singing in previous projects.

He was the first Anthrax vocalist to perform with the band in Korea, Colombia, Czech Republic and Estonia.
