Denver is a village in Worth County, Missouri, United States. The population was 40 at the 2000 census.

Geography

Denver is located at 40°23′51″N 94°19′27″W / 40.3975°N 94.32417°W / 40.3975; -94.32417 (40.397562, -94.324051)^[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.0 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census^[1] of 2000, there were 40 people, 20 households, and 11 families residing in the village. The population density was 104.4 people per square mile (40.6/km²). There were 28 housing units at an average density of 73.1 per square mile (28.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.50% of the population.

There were 20 households out of which 30.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 30.0% were married couples living together, 10.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.0% were non-families. 45.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.00 and the average family size was 2.73.

In the village the population was spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 5.0% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 17.5% from 45 to 64, and 20.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 110.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $18,750, and the median income for a family was $16,250. Males had a median income of $18,750 versus $0 for females.
