Missouri, United States. The population was 825 at the 2000 census. The city is located in the New Lead Belt.

According to the
United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.7 square miles (4.5 km²), of which, 1.7 square miles (4.5 km²) of it is land and 0.58% is water.
As of the
censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 825 people, 302 households, and 224 families residing in the city. The population densitywas 479.0 people per square mile (185.2/km²). There were 325 housing units at an average density of 188.7/sq mi (73.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.91% White, 0.12% African American, 0.48% Native American, and 0.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.36% of the population.
There were 302 households out of which 36.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.9% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% were non-families. 22.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.03.
In the city the population was spread out with 28.7% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 25.2% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 17.5% who were 65 years of age or older.
