Cannon Township is a township in Kittson County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 22 at the 2000 census.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.7 square miles (92.6 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 22 people, 8 households, and 7 families residing in the township. The population density was 0.6 people per square mile (0.2/km²). There were 21 housing units at an average density of 0.6/sq mi (0.2/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 95.45% White, and 4.55% from two or more races.

There were 8 households out of which 37.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.0% were married couples living together, 12.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.5% were non-families. 12.5% of all households were made up of individuals and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.00.

In the township the population was spread out with 31.8% under the age of 18, 31.8% from 25 to 44, 9.1% from 45 to 64, and 27.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years.
