The Cathay Pacific Gold Cup is a Moonee Valley Racing Club Group 2 Australian Thoroughbred horse race for horses aged three-years-old and upwards under open handicap conditions, over a distance of 2,500 metres.
It is held annually at Moonee Valley Racecourse in Melbourne on WS Cox Plate Day.
