Bloordale Village is a Business Improvement Area located in
Toronto ,Ontario ,Canada . Founded in1976 , it covers the area alongBloor Street from the intersections atLansdowne Avenue andDufferin Street . It is on the boundary between theDovercourt Wallace-Emerson andDufferin Grove neighbourhoods.The strip contains
Bloor Collegiate Institute , mostly small retail and has two strip clubs.The adjacent neighbourhood houses a largely immigrant and lower-income community. A mix of
Caribbean ,Bangladeshi ,Latin American ,Pakistan i,Sri Lankan , Burmese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Portuguese populations are found in the neighbourhood, where 80% of residents speak a native language other than English.
