Washington Township is one of ten townships in Gibson County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, its population was 703. Like Wabash Township, Washington Township also has no organized seat within the township, despite its two corporation-worthy towns Mount Olympus and Wheeling. Patoka, in White River Township, serves as the seat.

Geography

Washington Township covers an area of 36.84 square miles (95.42 square kilometers); of this, 0.24 square miles (0.62 square kilometers) or 0.65 percent is water.
