He was born in England to a Filipino-English artist ;his family emigrated to the Philippines whilst he was young. He didn’t return to England until he was 18, when he took up electrical engineering during college in Boston and England. During 2005, whilst his family was on vacation in the Philippines, Ramsay was seen by a talent scout. He began his career as a model in some TV commercials, print ads, runways, and several magazines. Later on, he signed as an actor in ABS-CBN.[1]

Ramsay appeared in a TV commercial for Nesvita Oatmeal 3-in-1, a cereal drink brand of Nestlé, where he starred with commercial model Will Devaughn and collegiate basketball player Chris Tiu. He also starred in the remake of San Miguel Beer's hit TV commercial "Isang Platitong Mani" (A Plate of Nuts), featuring billiards legend Efren "Bata" Reyes, notable comedian Michael V, and boxing's current pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.
