His district includes all of Montour County, Snyder County, Northumberland County, Columbia County and parts of Dauphin County and Luzerne CountyGordner is a lifelong resident of Berwick, Pennsylvania. He earned a
Juris Doctor fromDickinson College and has served as a practicing attorney. Gordner was elected to thePennsylvania House of Representatives in 1992 and served 11 years in that body. He earned his current position in a special election in 2003, succeeding Ed Helfrick, who abruptly retired from the Senate earlier that year.Gordner currently presides as Vice-Chair of the Communications and Technology Committee and Chairman of the Labor and Industry Committee. He will face re-election in 2008.
