According to the
United States Census Bureau , the township has a total area of 34.2square mile s (88.4km² ), of which, 34.1 square miles (88.4 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.09%) is water.Demographics

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 2,626 people, 923 households, and 767 families residing in the township. Thepopulation density was 77.0 per square mile (29.7/km²). There were 950 housing units at an average density of 27.8/sq mi (10.8/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.72% White, 0.08% African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 0.61% from other races, and 1.18% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.36% of the population.There were 923 households out of which 36.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.1% were married couples living together, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.9% were non-families. 13.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.83 and the average family size was 3.08.
In the township the population was spread out with 27.6% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 28.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 96.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.1 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $53,229, and the median income for a family was $58,188. Males had a median income of $40,533 versus $27,196 for females. The
