As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 405 people, 142 households, and 115 families residing in the village. Thepopulation density was 549.3 per square mile (211.3/km²). There were 157 housing units at an average density of 212.9/sq mi (81.9/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.79% White, 0.74% Native American, 0.74% Asian, 0.74% from other races, and 0.99% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.74% of the population.There were 142 households out of which 35.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.4% were married couples living together, 12.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.0% were non-families. 16.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.85 and the average family size was 3.13.
In the village the population was spread out with 28.4% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 31.4% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 12.1% who were 65 years of age or older.
