census GR|2 of 2000, there were 921 people, 365 households, and 247 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 53.0 people per square mile (20.5/km²). There were 536 housing units at an average density of 30.9/sq mi (11.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.02% White, 0.11% Native American, 0.22% Asian, and 0.65% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.09% of the population.There were 365 households out of which 29.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.2% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.3% were non-families. 18.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.94.
In the town the population was spread out with 21.9% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 32.0% from 25 to 44, 31.1% from 45 to 64, and 10.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
