Motivate Publishing

Motivate Publishing is a company based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The company was established in 1979 by Ian Fairservice with the launch of What's On, the Gulf region's first English language magazine.[citation needed] Besides a wide range of magazines, the company publishes books on topics related to the heritage of the Persian Gulf, as well as travel and city guides and children's titles. It also operates a cinema advertising company, Motivate Val Morgan and co-stages the annual Dubai Lynx International Advertising Festival and awards, in a joint venture with the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. Since 1982 Motivate Publishing has been operated in a partnership between Ian Fairservice and Obaid Humaid Al Tayer who is currently the UAE Minister of State for Finance.

Motivate Publishing also runs the lovestyle.com online portal, launched in October 2010, which focuses on style in the middle east.
