footnotes = Lundbreck is a hamlet inAlberta ,Canada . It is located at an elevation of m to ft|1200|precision=0, on the south side of Highway 3. It is part ofcensus division No. 3 and the federal riding of Macleod. It is administered by Pincher Creek MD. [Alberta Municipal Affairs. Lundbreck was incorporated in 1907, celebrated it's centennial in 2007, and was named for two coal miners (Lund and Breckinridge).
Lundbreck started out as a coal mining town, that quickly grew to a size of about 1000 people until the coal mines closed, at which time it quickly shrank. It has a population of approximately 150 in 2007, with that number expanding when school is in to about 400.
Education
Livingstone School is a K-12, 1A school that was instituted in 1955, as a more modern alternative to the then practice of using several small, one room, multiple grade, rural schools. Kids were bussed in from the local area rural schools from the NW portion of the MD of Pincher Creek, and the village of Cowley.
