Hibberts Gore, Maine

Hibberts Gore (also called Hibberts) is a gore in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. As of the 2000 census, one person lived there. Ignored by surveyors who mapped Maine, it remained unincorporated as the state was demarcated.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the gore has a total area of 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and 1.28% is water. The water is primarily wetlands, part of Sheepscot Pond, which is the headwaters of Sheepscot River.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there was one person living in the gore.

According the United States Census Bureau, the gore is one of only four places in the United States to have a population of 1 person. The others are Ervings, New Hampshire, Lost Springs, Wyoming, and New Amsterdam, Indiana.
