Common names: Godman's montane pitviper,[2] Godman's pit viper.[3]

Cerrophidion godmani is a venomous pitviper species found in Mexico and Central America. No subspecies are currently recognized.[4]

Description

Adults are usually less than 55 cm in length, but sometimes grow to more than 75 cm. Terrestrial and moderately stout.[2]

Geographic range

Found in Mexico in southeastern Oaxaca and Chiapas, through Central America to western Panama at moderate to high elevations. The type locality given is "near Dueñas and on the other parts of the tableland of Guatemala.[1]
