Moothedam is a small town and panchayath in Nilambur taluk of Malappuram district. It is situated on the foothills of Western Ghats near to Mukurthi National Park in Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. The panchayath is surrounded by Punnappuzha (north and west) and Karimpuzha (south).
