As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 199 people, 95 households, and 64 families residing in the city. Thepopulation density was 666.9 people per square mile (256.1/km²). There were 126 housing units at an average density of 422.3/sq mi (162.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.49% White, 1.01% Native American, and 0.50% from two or more races.There were 95 households out of which 18.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% were married couples living together, 2.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.6% were non-families. 30.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 21.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.09 and the average family size was 2.55.
In the city the population was spread out with 18.1% under the age of 18, 4.5% from 18 to 24, 16.1% from 25 to 44, 29.6% from 45 to 64, and 31.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 54 years. For every 100 females there were 105.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.8 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $31,875, and the median income for a family was $34,038. Males had a median income of $27,083 versus $19,583 for females. The
per capita income for the city was $18,390. About 7.8% of families and 7.5% of the population were below thepoverty line , including 15.6% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those sixty five or over.References
