She is a member of the Labour Party, which is part of theParty of European Socialists , and sits on theEuropean Parliament 'sCommittee on Employment and Social Affairs and itsCommittee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality .She is also a substitute for the
Committee on Culture and Education and a member of the delegation to theEuropean Union –Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee.Career
