Thijs Berman (b. September 26, 1957) is a Dutch politician and Member of the European Parliament.

Thijs Berman was born in Coevorden, Drenthe and grew up in Groningen. After initially studying acting in Maastricht, he turned to psychology, graduating in 1987. Since, he was a correspondent in Paris and Moscow for the Dutch Public Radio ("Radio 1"), the Dutch international radio "Wereldomroep" and the Agricultaral daily "Agrarisch Dagblad". He also served as columnist for "Elsevier Magazine" and presented radio and television shows, notably for broadcasting organization "IKON".

In June 2004 he was elected to the European Parliament. He is a member of the Labour Party, which is part of the Party of European Socialists, and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. He is also a substitute for the Committee on Regional Development and a member of the delegation to the EU–Ukraine Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.
