Portuguese sweet bread ("Massa Sovada" or simply "Massa", "Pão Doce" and the
Easter version with eggs is better known asFolar ) is abread made withmilk ,sugar and/orhoney to produce a subtlysweet lightly texturedloaf . It was traditionally made around theChristmas andEaster holidays (often with hard boiled eggs baked into the loaves for the latterholiday ) as around -shapedloaf , but today it is made and available year round.
