Early years

Ole Henriksen was born and raised in a small town in Denmark. After an impoverished poor upbringing, Henriksen's desire for adventure took him to Indonesia[citation needed]. It was during this period his skin became inflamed with cystic acne. He fell into the hands of an aesthetician named Lagita, at whose clinic in Jakarta he began getting treatments.[1]

Lagita’s aid, performed with various botanicals, brought his complexion back to health and with that Henriksen’s interest in skin care was piqued. Eager to learn more, Henriksen moved to London to pursue degrees in skin care and cosmetic chemistry, before venturing over to the United States.

Business

His spa business, based on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, has been servicing the LA skin care scene for three decades.[2][3] Located along the Sunset Plaza section of Sunset Boulevard, Ole Henriksen Face/Body has become a prominent landmark[citation needed].

Public appearances and television

Henriksen is well known[citation needed] in Denmark for his constantly happy mood[citation needed] along with an informal approach when giving interviews. He gained a renewed attention with his show Ole Henriksens Hollywood shown on Danish TV2 in 2007, where he invited six well-known Danish men to his clinic in Hollywood for a complete treatment. The men, and viewers, also gained insight into Henriksen's personal, professional and social life.[citation needed] His exclamation of "I love it!" over something he adored became a catchphrase for the show.[4][5]

Henriksen often uses his kitchen to experiment with all kinds of raw materials.[6]
