Opened in 1965, it was the first enclosed shopping mall developed by Simon Property Group. The center features three anchor stores: two Elder-Beerman locations and Sears, as well as a small food court and a multiplex movie theater. It also includes more than thirty other tenants.
History
Mounds Mall was developed by Melvin Simon & Associates (now Simon Property Group), opening in 1965 as that company's first enclosed mall property.[1]
