(Hallowell, 1856)The Many-lined Salamander (Stereochilus marginatus) is a species of salamander in the Plethodontidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Stereochilus.[citation needed] It is endemic to the United States.
Its natural habitats are temperate forests, rivers, swamps, freshwater lakes, and freshwater marshes. It is threatened by habitat loss.
