Pintak & Böhme, 1988The Green Mantella (Mantella viridis) is a species of frog in the Mantellidae family. It is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, rivers, intermittent rivers, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
The green mantella is a small frog. Males are 22-25 mm, females 25-30 mm. The species is common in the pet trade as a vivarium species.
