Nyctimantis rugiceps is a species of frog in the Hylidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Nyctimantis.^{[citation needed]} It is found in Ecuador, Peru, and possibly Colombia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical swamps. It is threatened by habitat loss.
