Charlie Midnight

Charlie Midnight is an American songwriter and record producer who has been nominated for a Grammy Award (Writer, Best R&B Song, Living in America, James Brown), two Golden Globe Awards; and has been a producer and/or writer on several Grammy-winning albums, including: The Bodyguard Soundtrack Album (writer&producer "Trust In Me" Joe Cocker, artist) ; Turbulent Indigo (writer "How Do You Stop" Joni Mitchell, artist); Thanks And Giving All Year Long (writer/producer "I'll Give Anything But Up" Hilary Duff, artist).

Midnight has produced and written songs for over 30 films including Rocky IV,[1] The Bodyguard,[1] Bull Durham, Lizzie McGuire and Ruthless People as well as for notable artists as Billy Joel,[1] Seal,[1] Hilary Duff ("So Yesterday"),[1][2] Joni Mitchell,[1] Britney Spears,[1] Christina Aguilera,[1] James Brown ("Living in America"),[1] Joe Cocker,[3] The Doobie Brothers,[4] George Thorogood, John Waite, Dan Hartman and Paul Young.

Midnight was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1988, for writing the song "Why Should I Worry?" from Oliver & Company[5] and received a second Golden Globe nomination for writing the song "A Woman Loves A Man" from Bull Durham.

In 1994, he was a writer and producer ("Trust In Me" Joe Cocker) on The Bodyguard Original Soundtrack Album, Grammy Album of the Year

In 1996, he was a writer ("How Do You Stop") on "Turbulent Indigo," the Joni Mitchell album that won the 1996 Grammy Award for Best Pop Album. http://www.jonimitchell.com/music/album.cfm?id=18

In 2004, he entered into a deal with Famous Music Publishing.[1]

In 2006, he was a writer and producer ("I'll Give Anything But Up" Hilary Duff) on the Grammy-winning children’s album, Thanks & Giving All Year Long, that was executive-produced by Marlo Thomas and Christopher Cerf.
