Meyer, 1874The New Guinea Scrubfowl (Megapodius affinis) is a species of bird in the Megapodiidae family. It is found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. The scientific name for this species is sometimes referred as M. decollatus (Oustalet, 1878)
