Gould, 1846The Rufous-Capped Thornbill (Chalcostigma ruficeps) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montanes and heavily degraded former forest.
