As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 1,619 people, 476 households, and 392 families residing in the CDP. Thepopulation density was 499.8 people per square mile (192.9/km²). There were 528 housing units at an average density of 163.0/sq mi (62.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 67.51% White, 0.86% African American, 2.72% Native American, 0.37% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 23.35% from other races, and 5.13% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 43.73% of the population.There were 476 households out of which 40.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.1% were married couples living together, 10.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.6% were non-families. 12.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.40 and the average family size was 3.72.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 32.7% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 9.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 102.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.5 males
The median income for a household in the CDP was $46,141, the median income for a family was $46,941. Males had a median income of $39,355 versus $27,813 for females. The
