As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 579 people, 84 households, and 65 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 84.8/km² (219.4/mi²). There were 92 housing units at an average density of 38.6/km² (99.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.04% White, 0.50% Black or African American, and 3.47% from two or more races.There were 84 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.5% were married couples living together, 9.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.6% were non-families. 21.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.40 and the average family size was 2.74.
In the town the population was spread out with 20.8% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 30.7% from 25 to 44, 26.7% from 45 to 64, and 14.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 83.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.8 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $35,625, and the median income for a family was $38,977. Males had a median income of $26,875 versus $23,750 for females. The
