General-audience description

A general-audience description of a mathematical or scientific concept is one that can be understood by the average educated person. Such descriptions are given in:

* New Scientist
* Scientific AmericanThere are also many books about science and mathematics aimed at a general audience by authors like:

* Stephen Hawking
* Carl Sagan
* George Szpiro

Many fields of science have journals aimed at an undergraduate audience assuming knowledge of the key basics in their fields (like calculus). Such journals include:
