It is located in thePeace Country , at the northern end of Highway 726, km to mi|18|abbr=yes|wiki=yes north from Highway 64 and km to mi|59|abbr=yes north-west from Hines Creek.It lies at an elevation of m to ft|650|abbr=yes and km to mi|50|abbr=yes east of the
British Columbia border, amidst prairie farmland and ranchland. The resident population is approximately 130.It was named after Erick Worsley, a British Cavalry Officer and
fur trade r who arrived in the area in the 1930's.The main families of the area are the Allens and the Schwerdts,the latter of which settled in the area before the 1900's and continue to live there today. Worsley is the municipal seat of Clear Hills County. It is an agricultural service center for the surrounding farming communities, which raise mostly crops of barley, wheat, canola and fescue.
