Pennsylvania Route 842 is a state highway in Chester County, Pennsylvania. The route runs from Pennsylvania Route 841 in West Marlborough Township to U.S. Route 322 Business in downtown West Chester.

Route description

Pennsylvania Route 842 heads east from Pennsylvania Route 841 on Upland Road. It heads into East Marlborough Township, where the road intersects Pennsylvania Route 82 in Unionville and forms a brief concurrency with that route. Along the concurrency, PA 842 intersects the western terminus of Pennsylvania Route 162. Pennsylvania Route 842 changes its name to Unionville Wawaset Road here, and the road heads east, passing through Newlin Township and Pocopson Township. It then crosses the west branch of the Brandywine Creek into East Bradford Township, where the road name changes to Bridge Road. Pennsylvania Route 842 then turns onto Creek Road, and it heads towards West Chester, where it becomes West Miner Street. In West Chester, Pennsylvania Route 842 is split onto one-way streets. with westbound PA 842 heading west on West Miner Street from US 322 Business (High Street), and eastbound PA 842 heading north on South Brandywine Street and east on West Market Street and ending at US 322 Business eastbound at the intersection of West Market Street and New Street.
