Its southern terminus is at U.S. Route 42 near Plain City, and its northern terminus is at a T-intersection with State Route 38 in Marysville.

Route description
State Route 736 runs exclusively within Union County. No portion of State Route 736 is included as a part of the National Highway System, a system of highways that are key for the country's economy, defense and mobility.[2]
History
Originally designated in 1937 along the routing that it currently occupies between U.S. Route 42 and State Route 38, State Route 736 has not experienced any significant changes to its routing since its debut.[3][4]
