Tripotama (Greek, Modern: Τριπόταμα, Ancient/
Katharevousa : -n, from τρεις "tri-" three and πόταμα "potama"river . It means three rivers in Greek), older form Tripotamon is a village in the municipality ofAroania in the southern part of the prefecture ofAchaia . It is linked by GR-33, the Patras to Tripoli highway. It is located ESE ofPatras , SW ofKalavryta , W ofKleitoria , NW ofTripoli , NNW ofMegalopoli , NE of Olympia and E ofLampeia andAmaliada . The origin of the name derives from the three rivers, one of them includes theErymanthus river in which it flows to the west. It also forms the communal boundary along with the prefectural boundary with Ilia to the west andArcadia further south.Geography

The village has a small school, a church, a small post office and a square ("
plateia "). Its residential houses are mainly within the road.It also has a small attraction where the bridge is located over the Erymanthus. The rest of the land are mountainous and rocky landscape with a few bushes are founded mainly to the north.
Kayakers begin kayaking at this commune before heading downstream to Olympia. Its total distance is 40 km.
