Marlow Town Regatta and Festival (MTRF) is Marlow's local rowing regatta, together with an associated festival. It takes place at the town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire on the River Thames in southern England.
Marlow's annual rowing regatta was originally founded in 1855. It moved to Dorney Lake (The Marlow Regatta) leaving the town without a local summer regatta, so the Town Regatta was constituted to fulfill that function and is now predominantly a regatta for juniors, novices and veterans. The first MTRF in its current form was held on Saturday 16 June 2001, opened by the joint MTRF presidents, Sir Steve and Lady Redgrave (the famous local Olympic rower and his wife). The regatta is held two weeks before the more famous Henley Royal Regatta, upriver from Marlow at Henley-on-Thames, but the role of major pre-Henley rowing event is still held by The Marlow Regatta. The MTRF is, however, a major event in the town's calendar.
