Greenwich Street is a north-south street in the
New York City borough ofManhattan . It extends from the intersection of 9th Avenue and Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District at its northernmost end to its southern end atBattery Park , interrupted between Vesey and Liberty Streets by the formerWorld Trade Center site. It is sometimes confused with the similarly-named Greenwich Avenue.Main east-west streets crossed include (from north to south) Christopher Street, Houston Street, Canal Street and Chambers Street. Greenwich Street travels through a number of neighborhoods, including the Meatpacking District, the West Village,
SoHo andTriBeCa . At points north of Spring Street, traffic travels north on Greenwich Street; at points south of Spring Street, it travels south.Transportation

The World Trade Center PATH station is located near the southern end of Greenwich Street.
The uptown M11 bus travels on Greenwich Street from Bethune Street to Gansevoort Street.
