Kevin WinterThe Mike Felger Show was a local sports talk show that originated in the 890 ESPN studios in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The Mike Felger Show went off the air on July 10, 2008 when Felger leaving the station. The show was on from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and was also broadcast on YouCastr, an online broadcaster. There was a carousel of co-hosts in studio including Ryen Russillo, Andy Hart, Tom Casale, Joe Haggerty, Bob Halloran, and Bob Ryan. The show was formerly known as "The Drive with Michael Felger" but was later rebranded as "The Mike Felger Show". The show also used to run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. but made the switch to one hour earlier to make way for Metro GameDay.
Also included on the show was SportsCenter anchor Kevin Winter. Besides providing sports updates every twenty minutes he steps in with his own commentary and take on the big stories. Ross Carey is the "Producer Boy" and is often referred to as Ross "Lisa Loeb" Carey because the glasses he wears are similar to those of the pop star. Ross is also referred to as "a 27 year old, seam head, untucked purple shirt wearing, Lisa Loeb glasses wearing slacker producer boy." Ross also takes lots of shots at Felger throughout the show. Mike Salk is also the on location Red Sox reporter who also covers for Kevin Winter when Kevin is not the Sports Center Anchor.
The Mike Felger Show had a regular rotation of ESPN and The Boston Globe writers and personalities who came onto the show. During baseball season Peter Gammons called in every Thursday, while Buster Olney checked in every Wednesday. Football season had John Clayton every Thursday and Mark Schlereth on Tuesdays. Jeremy Green was also a popular guest. During Boston Celtics season Chris Broussard was often heard as well.
