Triple Cross Square

"Plac Trzech Krzyży" (Triple Cross Square) is a large square in downtown Warsaw, Poland, lying on the Royal Route between "ulica Nowy Świat" (New World Street), to the north, and "Aleje Ujazdowskie" (Ujazdów Avenue).

In the Square stands, since 1818, the neoclassist St. Alexander's Church. Originally, the square likewise bore that saint's name.

The square takes its present name from three crosses: one atop St. Alexander's Church, and two on columns several dozen meters away, facing the church's entrance.

Triple Cross Square is home to exclusive retail stores such as Hugo Boss, Burberry, Church's, Ermenegildo Zegna, Max Mara, Coccinelle, W. Kruk, JM Weston, Franscesco Biasa, Escada, MAX & Co., Lacoste and Emporio Armani. Scheduled to open in the same area in 2010 is a Louis Vuitton store. Also likely to be opened near the Square are Donna Karan New York and Kenzo boutiques.

Located near the square is the seat of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, HSBC Premiere office and Sheraton Hotel.
