The journal Consciousness and Cognition (ISSN 1053-8100) provides a forum for scientific approaches to the issues of consciousness, voluntary control, and self.[1] It features empirical research (in the form of regular articles and short reports) and theoretical articles. Book reviews, integrative theoretical and critical literature reviews, and tutorial reviews are also published. The journal aims to be both scientifically rigorous and open to novel contributions. The journal's editor-in-chief is William Banks. Bruce Bridgman, James Enns, Axel Cleeremans and Antti Revonsuo are associate editors [1]. It is an official journal of the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness. Bernard Baars[2] and William Banks[3] were the founding co-editors of the journal. In 2011 papers from the second Online Consciousness Conference will be published in a special double issue.
