San Juan Avenue is designated the signed state highway State Road 128 for much of its length. San Juan Avenue begins on the north side of the Grand Avenue Bridge, which separates Ortega from Normandy. It passes Woodmere Avenue and Lakeside Drive before intersecting Herschel Street (SR 211). SR 128 begins here and heads due west for two and a half miles, crossing SR 21, SR 111, and the Cedar River before coming to an end at Lane Ave (SR 103).
