Hall received his secondary education at Macleod High School.
Career
As an actor he has appeared in such TV series as "
Neighbours " in the recurring roles of Angus Owens and Gary "Boof" Head.Hall also has starred in films as "
Romper Stomper ,The Wog Boy " and the made-for-TV movie "The Last Bullet ".In the TV movie "The King" he played the role of
Bert Newton .In the theatre he starred in the Australian production of "Monty Python's
Spamalot ", playing the roles of Lancelot, The French Taunter, Tim The Enchanter and The Head Knight of "Ni".He can currently be seen in the role of "Warren" on the ABC-TV program "
The Hollowmen " (which can also be viewed online at the show's website - see below.)As a TV writer he has worked on many Australian TV productions, including "
BackBerner ", "Big Bite ", "Full Frontal", "Russell Gilbert Was Here " and"Spicks and Specks ". He is currently writing on the third series of "Newstopia ".He has also served as producer on the Australian version of the game show "Deal or No Deal".
In August 2005 he completed seven nights on the quiz show "
Temptation ", becoming the program's second Grand Champion. Since then, he has also won the title of "Australia's Brainiest Quiz Master" on the Australian TV program of the same name.He regularly appears as himself, as a member of 'The Brains Trust', on the ABC-TV quiz show "
