The Highway Starts at the Eastern Outlet near Mornington, and travels south connecting to South Arm Road.Bellerieve Bypass
The Bypass had been planned since the Hobart Transportation study of 1964, but it was not until the early 1980s that it was constructed. This new section of the road starts at the Tasman Highway at Mornington and runs through a large
Roundabout at Howrah before connecting to the old South arm highway. This bypass has replaced the original route between South Arm and Hobart which passed through Bellerive and Rosny.cite web | year = 2003 | url = http://www.ozroads.com.au/TAS/expressways/expressways.htm | title = Tasmanian Expressways | publisher = ozroads.com.au | accessdate = 2007-04-30] Originally the highway was planned as a fully grade-separated Highway, however currently the only grade-separated junction on this Road is with theRoundabout interchange junction at the Tasman HighwayExits
