It was also known as Monster in the Night, and Stranger on the Campus. This film was the last of Universal's science fiction monster films released before Island of Terror (1966).
The film was directed by Jack Arnold (Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Incredible Shrinking Man) and from a script by David Duncan (The Time Machine).
Troy Donahue appears as a college student, a speaking part.
Plot
Professor Donald Blake (played by Arthur Franz) acquires a newly-discovered coelacanth. He begins to examine the find and is exposed to its irradiated blood. This turns him into a murderous Neanderthal monster that terrorizes the campus.
