雅沙再也Country Malaysia State Sarawak Region East Malaysia Island Borneo Island Other Name Land of the Hornbills (BUMI KENYALANG) Asajaya(雅沙再也) is a small Sarawakian town located in the Samarahan Division. Most of its inhabitants are made up of the Malay, Chinese and Iban people. Asajaya have a small town, known as Pekan Asajaya. It is the point where all the ethnic were gather together or other name, it is a melting pot for the residents to mix among themselves. There is a district office - Pejabat Daerah Asajaya, which means Asajaya District Office. The former PBB chairman in this area is Haji Ellin b Naneng or known as Mok Aji Ellin. One of the most important to expand or make Asajaya become more advanced as other town is by education. The schools in Asajaya plays important roles of educating residents in Asajaya.There was a clinic a few years ago but it was destroyed in fire recently. This causes a few doctors to lose their jobs and the residents had to go to further clinics.

There are a few primary schools - SJK Chung Hua Asajaya, SK Asajaya Ulu, SJK Chung Hua Semera, SJK Chung Hua Jemukan and so on. There are also three secondary school - SMK Pesantren (only for Muslims), SMK Asajaya and SMK Semera. Those who passed their UPSR (Ujian Permeriksaan Sekolah Rendah) exam in Primary Six can choose their own secondary school, meanwhile for those who failed will have to go to SMK Asajaya, as that is the only secondary school with transition classes.
