In Athens, both earned their revenge, beating the Serbia and Montenegro team in group play. Losses to Spain and China, 12th at the 2002 Worlds, resulted in a last place finish in the group. The team did beat Angola in the 11th place game, but overall, the tournament was a disappointment.
