The women's 10 metre air pistol competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics was held on August 15 at the Markópoulo Olympic Shooting Centre near Athens, Greece. It was a very close event, with shoot-offs determining both gold and bronze medals. Ukraine's Olena Kostevych, the young World champion, qualified as eighth and last shooter to the final, but went on to win the competition.
