- Aerotropolis
An aerotropolis (pl. "aerotropolises" or "aerotropoli") is a new type of urban form comprising
aviation -intensivebusinesses and related enterprises extending up to 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) outward from majorairports .It is similar in form and function to a traditional
metropolis , which contains a central city core and itscommuter -linkedsuburbs . An aerotropolis has an airport city at its core and is surrounded by clusters of aviation-related enterprises.Airports have evolved as drivers of business location and
