This is a list of battleships of Germany.

Ships launched in the 1891-1908 are pre-dreadnoughts. This type was made obsolescent when HMS "Dreadnought" was launched in 1906. Later ships are dreadnoughts, which featured a uniform main armament and smaller intermediate guns.
